You found me! I'm Doeke Norg, a PHP architect from Drenthe, the Netherlands.
I've spent nearly 20 years in PHP, and a lot of those codebases were... let's call them character-building. But they taught me a thing or two about stuff.
The stuff I know things about:
- Legacy code. Twenty years of PHP means I've written plenty of it, and I know how to clean it up.
- PHP architecture. Domain-driven design, clean boundaries, the kind of structure that makes the next developer's life easier.
- Test infrastructure. Making code testable and adding the tests that actually matter.
- When not to refactor. Sometimes the messy thing is fine. Knowing the difference matters.
Curious? See what I do or get in touch.
